About BSBRA

Leading Bangladesh's Ship Recycling Industry Since 1998

Our Mission

To promote safe, environmentally sound, and economically viable ship recycling practices while ensuring worker welfare, international compliance, and sustainable development of Bangladesh's maritime recycling industry.

Our Vision

To establish Bangladesh as the global leader in sustainable ship recycling, setting industry benchmarks for safety, environmental protection, and social responsibility while contributing to national economic growth.

Why Ship Recycling in Bangladesh

Unique geographical, economic, and technical advantages that position Bangladesh as a global leader

Geographical Excellence

The Chittagong coast provides naturally ideal conditions for ship beaching and recycling operations. With extensive tidal ranges reaching up to 6 meters, vessels can be safely beached during high tide and dismantled during low tide.

This natural advantage, combined with protected coastal areas and suitable beach gradients, makes Bangladesh one of the most efficient locations globally for ship recycling operations.
